I am originally from Woodstock, Georgia, a northern suburb of Atlanta, but spent the last four years living in Athens, Georgia.
I have my bachelor's degree in Public Affairs Journalism from the
University of Georgia's Grady College of Journalism and Mass
Communications. When I wasn't studying or cheering on the Dawgs, I
spent my time working with many organizations on campus. I am a
proud member of Delta Gamma Fraternity and DiGamma Kappa, the broadcast
society at UGA. I also volunteered with Grady Newsource, the campus
news station, and the Office of International Affairs. I am a member
of the Georgia Writer's Association, Education Writer's Association and
the Investigative Reporters & Editors organization.
It was through my jobs and internships in multiple media platforms that I discovered her passion for journalism. I worked as a freelance writer for Athens Magazine and Thrive, and also interned with an online fashion magazine, BLVD. I found my passion for broadcast journalism as a newsroom intern at WWAY News Channel 3 out of Wilmington, NC. I got even more newsroom experience when I completed the Intern For A Day Program with CBS Atlanta.
Since graduating from UGA in May 2013, I have improved my reporting and video journalism skills by working freelance for the USA Today sports web site during SEC Media Days and covering the USA Olympic bobsled team.
I am currently in Great Falls, MT as an anchor and reporter for KFBB. I look forward to sharing my journalistic and storytelling passion with others, so feel free to contact me.
